FTM QE Melt Lab Technician

At Leprino Foods, the compensation for this role is currently $25.20 per hour. The shift is 5pm-5:30 am.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to support 24/7 operation, including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.
• Must have an understanding of basic chemistry or biology, and basic lab equipment testing through on the job experience, or through high school or college coursework.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar role, or in a chemical or microbiology lab.

Responsibilities: 

• Test all performance procedures for each product code; monitoring finished weights, packaging tare weights, melts, fines, and oversize cut quality, compaction, scale accuracy, finished product coding, and package integrity.

• Advice appropriate personnel of out-of-specification conditions, recommending corrective measures, and when necessary, entering a Quality Alert.

• Obtain pack, and ship composite samples, etc. as specified while maintaining accurate records.

• Ensure product is free of extraneous through periodic process checks and record keeping.

• Represent Fort Morgan Quality Control during Corporate, Regional, or customer visits.

• Utilize the AS400/SAP to place product on hold or QA Alert, review records, and obtain information on input product

• Follow company’s good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping in area and maintain 5S standards.

• Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
