Roswell Building Maintenance
Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors.
The Building Maintenance Technician's primary focus will be to increase the reliability of the Roswell plant through application of plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, tile repair, and predictive/preventive maintenance techniques. This position will have full accountability for their assigned area and be expected to gain sufficient technical knowledge so as to provide maintenance in the entire plant.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $21.68 and $23.41. In addition, a night shift premium of $1.25 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM.

We Ask of You:
- Maintain facilities and equipment for the entire facility.
- Responsible for general clean-up of buildings.
- Responsible for facility repairs to include carpentry, painting, tile work, light electrical work.
- Responsible for flooring repairs to include carpet and VCT.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
- Comply with safe work practices.
- Must support Maintenance and Engineering staff with various tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Foreperson or Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy
- Must have 3-5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience – industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge and craft skills to perform light carpentry and metal fabrication.
- Knowledge and craft skills to perform plumbing and piping fabrication.
- Knowledge and craft skills to maintain wall, floor tile and painted surfaces.
- Knowledge and electrical craft skills to effectively troubleshoot and repair lighting and other fixtures.
- Knowledge of use of hand tools and other equipment to perform work.
- Ability to understand preventative maintenance work orders.
- Must have strong organizational skills, must be able to work in deadline driven environment.
- Knowledge of proper handling of chemicals used.
- Must be customer service oriented.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

- This position will be exposed inside ambient temperatures and may include a wet / slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature
- Specific vision may be required for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 49 lbs.
- Bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing up stairs/ladders are required throughout the shift.
- Standing and walking are required throughout the shift.
- Must be able to fully extend arms in front of body and above head, squat/kneel, crawl, bend, twist, drive a vehicle, work around fumes, sharp edges and work with hammering or impact tools and tool vibration.
