Manager I, Whey

We hold a couple of titles including the nation’s largest cheese company and the world’s largest producer of mozzarella; the most popular cheese used on pizzas throughout the globe. From three individuals in a small cheese shop in the early 1950s, we have grown to over 4,300 employees throughout our 13 global locations earning more than $3 billion in annual revenue.

Within our 600-person Roswell manufacturing facility, we are seeking a Manager, Whey to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels! 

We Ask of You To:

• Provide leadership by implementing and maintaining programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition and internal employee development 
• Manage the work of the Whey Sr. Supervisor and Supervisors in the department
• Actively lead the processes for performance management, employee development and engagement
• Build and foster strong working relationships, collaborative teams, and a positive work environment
• Implement company and plant policies fairly and consistently
• Integrate multiple sources of information and priorities, keeping in mind the future needs of the business.
• Mange the Whey production process to ensure the highest quality of finished products that meet the company and customer specifications and government regulation.
• Maintain high productivity and cost effectiveness through proper scheduling production operations, maintenance, and workforce
• Manage the Whey department budget withing established guidelines ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Ensure production yields and efficiencies are net as defined by budgetary and corporate standards.
• Mange the Whey Departments financial performance to ensure that a quality product is provided a the least possible cost
• Lead the Whey Department's safety program to ensure a safe working environment
• Provide employees with the training, equipment, and tools to be able to safely perform their jobs.
• Set standards for safety involvement and accountability in the department and lead by example
• Manage the departments quality systems to achieve quality goals
• Oversee the sanitation program effectiveness to ensure food safety standards are met in the department

You Have At Least (Minimum Qualification):

• Requires college degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of overall experience in manufacturing
• Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• Dairy and/or Food manufacturing experience

Working Relationships:

• This position reports directly to the Production Manager
• The Whey Senior Supervisor reports directly to the Whey Manager
• This position will also interact regularly with the Plant Manager, other department managers and Senior Leadership.
