Maintenance Group Leader
The Maintenance Group Leader is responsible to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safe work practices are followed by all department employees in the efficient operation and production of quality product throughout the Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Group Leader position is a working foreperson and must be capable of disassembly, assembling and repairing all production equipment. The position is also responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all plant equipment, reducing downtime, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. They also are required to perform all duties as assigned.
The Maintenance Group Lead reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, with strong direct working relationships with Maintenance Manager, and other functional department managers and supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to work flexible schedule in order to support 24/7 operation, including weekends,
holidays, and off-shifts.
At least two years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment or 1 year experience with
a related technical certificate or degree, dairy or food manufacturing is a plus.
Prior experience with mechanical or electrical, mechatronics (both) is a plus.
Prior experience repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment.
Prior experience with blueprint and schematic readings.
Experience with plumbing, pneumatics, compressed air, ammonia/refrigeration, and boilers is a
plus.
Experience or practical knowledge of PLCs and Ladder Logic, electrical including 3-phase, controls
and instrumentation, and HVAC is a plus.
