For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Processing Sanitation Team Member.
Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026!
Summary Description:
This position performs a variety of duties. The Processing Sanitation Team Member II will perform dry and wet cleaning tasks in processing work areas and be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility in alignment with GMP’s.

Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities): NOTE: The job may include other “non-essential” responsibilities and duties that are not listed on this form.
- Clean/Sanitize/ all drains in Freezer Room, Filler Room, Dust Collector Room, LA Room, Hallway to CIP/LA Room, CIP Room, Ingredient staging area, Warehouse Redline Room, Line 1 RTE Corridor
- Issue chemical carts to each room (includes refilling of chemicals)
- Clean/Sanitize/Stock Warehouse Redline Room
- Collect and throw trash from all trash bins in processing department
- Clean trash bins (Weekly)
- Clean and stock handwashing sinks in all rooms in processing department
- Foam and Sanitize Processing CIP room
- Inspect and Clean Processing CIP room filters (this will need training)
- Clean/Sanitize/Stock Warehouse Redline room
- Remove carts from each room (Chemical carts must be out during production)
- Clean processing managers and supervisors’ office. (Weekly mopping with multi-quat sanitizer)
- Run Zamobini through ingredient staging area, Dry Palletizer, and Dust Collector Room. This includes spraying down floors with multi quat
- Other jobs assigned by management
- Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
- This position is responsible and accountable to ensure all areas are maintained to comply with food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language
- Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary
- Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs
- Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions
- Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures
- Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes
- Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous cleaning experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical/Mental Requirements and Work Environment:
Work Environment Description:
- This position will be exposed to a an office environment with inside ambient temperatures and a production operations environment including both wet and dry production areas with loud noise and varying degrees of temperature from freezer to extreme heat
- Requires frequent walking, standing and climbing stairs
- Regular bending and reaching
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Additional:
This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
