For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Processing Production Clerk.
Leprino Foods broke ground on the $1 billion facility in the summer of 2022. The plant will become operational in 2025 with Phase 1 and will become fully operational by 2026!
This position pays $23.50 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.
Summary Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring that correct input products are supplied to the processing line in an accurate and timely manner, as well monitoring these products for quality.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities):
NOTE: The job may include other “non-essential” responsibilities and duties that are not listed on this form.
- Gather data related to:
- End of Run paperwork (ingredients, Prestarts, Production Orders)
- Complete and verify daily inventory
- Problem Cheese, First Pass Good, Sorting
- Review sort logs and turn into hold and release with proper dispositions
- Cyber Docs, SOPs, PSOPs, Store Room Recaps, OT Tracking, and other reports as required
- Maintain accurate inventories of products.
- Ensure that products are unrestricted (not on Food Safety Hold) and approved for required products.
- Monitor floor scale for bulk pack weights, enter data into MES “Bulk-off” to produce and create license plate. .
- Monitor scale operation and generate information for the accounting and production of same day add back and prior day cheese.
- Accurately generate and enter all input set information for accounting in real time.
- Audit, reconcile, research and report on financial assignments and budgetary accounts.
- Sort and distribute Maintenance Work Orders, Top 5 reports, and Parts Ordered. Order, Track, and monitor Parts Orders as well as scheduling and completion of Service/ Repairs.
- Any and all audit requirements (MSS, MES,Tracking, Audits, and communication for gaps in procedures, Safety Tracking, Tracking, and Lot Control Tracking as needed).
- Provide clerical support to supervisors/mangers such as: mail, typing, acting as scribe, filing, answering phones, running errands.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Monitor the percentage of addition of all products and notify the department management of any out of compliance situations.
- Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
- Set up and maintain accuracy of all input usage records and maintain paperwork in an orderly manner.
- Monitor ingredient usage and ensure proper rotation of inventories.
- Reconcile inventory daily.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to support 24-7/365 business.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:
- Intermediate to expert-level of computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated experience providing high level of confidentiality
- Familiarity or ability to learn SAP,LIT, MES or similar integrated manufacturing system
Physical/Mental Requirements and Work Environment:
Work Environment Description:
- This position will be exposed to a production operations environment. Industrial setting includes both wet and dry production areas, loud noises, and varying degrees of temperature The Processing Clerk must be able to work overtime and holidays when required. The operator must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand the S.O.P.’s, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safe work practices.

This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
