For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a Cheese Production Clerk.
Summary Description:
The Cheese Production Clerk is a “Business Partner” responsible for processing and analyzing data as well as providing Supervisors/Managers accurate and timely reports to better enable those management personnel to make proper decisions and adjustments so as to have a positive effect on quality and financials. All other duties as assigned.
This position pays $23.50 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.
Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities):

- Gather data related to:
- End of Run paperwork (ingredients, Milk to Vats, Production Orders)
- Complete and verify daily inventory
- Problem Cheese, First Pass Good, Sorting
- Review sort logs and turn into hold and release with proper dispositions
- Cyber Docs, SOPs, Store Room Recaps, OT Tracking, and other reports as required
- Audit, reconcile, research and report on financial assignments and budgetary accounts
- Creates/Completes Department Graphs/ Reports such as: NFFHC, Problem Cheese, PPLH, Customer complaints, OT, Usage, First Pass Good, In-spec, and others as needed.
- Complete and post Employee Schedules including: vacation tracking, TOR eligibility verifications, complete staffing reports, UKG entry and others as needed.
- Supervisor Support: while providing guidance and recommendations on End of Day Reports, MSS, and Pre-start Checklists, and more.
- Sort and distribute Maintenance Work Orders, Top 5 reports, and Parts Ordered. Order, Track, and monitor Parts Orders as well as scheduling and completion of Service/ Repairs.
- Any and all audit requirements (MSS Tracking, Audits, and communication for gaps in procedures, Safety Tracking, JTPR Tracking, and Lot Control Tracking as needed).
- Provide clerical support to supervisors/mangers such as: mail, typing, acting as scribe, filing, answering phones, running errands.
- Monitor the percentage of addition of all products and notify the department management of any out of compliance situations.
- Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
- Set up and maintain accuracy of all input usage records and maintain paperwork in an orderly manner.
- Monitor ingredient usage and ensure proper rotation of inventories.
- Validate the reconciliation of inventory daily.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to support 24-7/365 business.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:
- Intermediate to expert-level of computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated experience providing high level of confidentiality
- Familiarity or ability to learn SAP, or similar integrated manufacturing system
Physical/Mental Requirements and Work Environment:
Work Environment Description:
- This position will be exposed to a production operations environment. Industrial setting includes both wet and dry production areas, loud noises, and varying degrees of temperature The Cheese Clerk must be able to work overtime and holidays when required. The operator must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand the S.O.P.’s, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safe work practices.

This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
