Cheese Line 2 Team Member

Leprino Lubbock is seeking a a Line 2 Cheese Team Member. The Cheese Team Member position is responsible for the efficient operation of equipment and production of high-quality products in the cheese production department, while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safe work practices as required.

All other duties as assigned. 

This position pays $21 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Open availabilty to include night shift
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language
• Minimum one year prior manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy
• Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and to make adjustments or corrective action as necessary
• Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions
• Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures
• Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes
• Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cheese and/or dairy foods manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with manufacturing software system working with touch screens
• Experience in machine operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position will be exposed to a production operations environment that includes both wet and dry production areas with loud noise and varying degrees of temperature from freezer to extreme heat.  Specific vision may be required for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods.  Climbing of stairs, standing and walking, bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and carry upwards of 55lbs. may be required.
