General Summary:

  • At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Warehouse Whey Group Leader - 2nd Shift Rate is $36.19  (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies). The Group Leader is responsible for overseeing and directing the crew and equipment operations for the entire Whey Warehouse. 

 

Job Description:

  • At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures.
  • Responsible for providing direction for the crew and equipment in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Coordinate load out operators.
  • Ensure trucks are loaded efficiently.
  • Make sure orders are committed or product requested.
  • Allocate and post all outgoing loads 2-3 days in advance.
  • Oversee monthly Finished Goods Inventory.
  • Assist with training of new operators.
  • Ensure loading procedures are being followed.
  • Assist in answering customer service issues.
  • Coordinate with Quality Execution on hold/release of product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Ensure daily capacity inventories are completed.
  • Coordinate daily with Corporate on capacity and storage load needs.
  • Operates with the load operators. 

 

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of sanitary GMPs.
  • Physical requirements to perform job as defined in the essential job function.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions.
  • Computer familiarization with AS400 and SAP system.
  • Understanding of the powder loadout process.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.  Lead By Example.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Two (2) years forklift experience.
  • Self-starter, Self-motivator.
  • Multi-task ability.
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience (organization, powder loadout, inventory controls, shipping and receiving).

 

Working Relationships:

  • This position reports to the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
  • This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors. Regular interaction with other plant management.
