LEW CHS Maintenance Technician
General Summary:
- At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Cheese Maintenance Technician Rate is $36.21 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.
- Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.
- Responsible for repairs of building and all plant equipment.
- Responsible for plant preventative maintenance.
- Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.
- Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.
- Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Responsible to fulfill MEP requirements.
- Perform any other duties as required by Maintenance Manager, Supervisor or Group Leader.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions.
- High School level verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance setting involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Basic computational skills required.
- Simple math reasoning required.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Working knowledge of manufacturing system software (SAP and MES) is preferred, but not required.
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in recognizing and accomplishing needed tasks for the department office.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:
- Must complete required Security Attendant trainings within 6 months of starting the position.
Working Relationships:
- This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors.
- Regular interaction with other plant management.
- Regular interaction with Leprino employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
