On our Corporate Finance team located in Denver – Leprino is seeking a Director of Finance within our Nutrition Global Business Unit (formed in 2021) to move our organization to even larger levels of dairy ingredient and nutrition growth! At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $165,000 and $205,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 25%.


  • Leprino’s next Nutrition Director will serve as the Divisional CFO to a $500MM+ business unit with global customers in multiple segments including infant nutrition, sports nutrition, adult nutrition, CPG, nutraceutical, and animal nutrition by selling key dairy nutrition ingredients such as whey proteins, micellar casein, sweet whey, and lactose.
  • Mentor, lead, and develop three reports (and four indirect reports): A Senior Manager of Finance for our Ascent Protein sports nutrition subsidiary, a Senior Manager FP&A, and Manager of FP&A.
  • In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for leading and carrying out the financial direction of the Nutrition business unit in collaboration with the SVP of Leprino Nutrition, VP of Finance, and the CFO.
  • Take the lead on “Where to Play” & “How to Win” strategies, business analytics, strategic decision making for both B2B and B2C markets to scale up quickly.
  • The Director will own the development of Leprino Nutrition’s key performance metrics, divisional scorecard, and bonus achievements.
  • As part of the growth strategy, this role will lead all aspects of the financial modeling and recommendations around both short and long-term investments to include (but not limited to) potential future acquisitions, new product lines, new market penetration, and any capital investments.
  • Representing the business unit as the “Head of Finance” in direct negotiations of contracts/multiyear agreements, pricing architecture, commodity risk management, and detailed expertise on dairy economics.
  • High level breakdown of responsibilities includes Financial Stewardship, Reporting and Analysis (25%); Corporate Planning Processes (20%); Growth Strategy and Decision Support (20%); Dairy Economics (15%); and Team Leadership & Development (20%).

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar subject area.
  • A decade of high-level finance experience and finance leadership managing business performance (goal setting, budgeting, and tracking results) in a commercial environment. 
  • Previous experience in a Director-level Finance leadership role. As this position will serve as a "Divisional CFO" of a $500 million business unit, Leprino will not consider Finance Managers or Senior Finance Analysts. 
  • The ability to work a weekly 4/1 (office/home) hybrid schedule (the cadence for Directors).


We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • Experience on food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Upbringing in public accounting (CPA included) prior to transitioning to finance is highly desirable.
  • Commodity experience.
  • High level communicator with the skills to articulate ideas and concepts in a large public forum.
