Within our Denver corporate headquarters, we are seeking a Social Media Planner to help develop and activate social media strategies to engage and convert our target consumer. Ascent launched in 2016 with the mission to naturally improve athletic performance and in the last 5 years, Ascent has grown to be a best-in-class sports nutrition brand known for their clean products and partnerships with top athletes.. Ascent is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leprino Foods Company, the world’s largest producer of mozzarella cheese.

 

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $62,000 and $73,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%.

 

As the Ascent Social Media Planner you will be a key member of the marketing team and serve as the social media lead for the brand. Your responsibilities include leading the strategy, content development, execution, and management of Ascent’s organic social media channels. You have the creative vision & copywriting skills to bring our brand tone to life and love the challenge of jumping on new trends and creating new content – both on your own and with agency partners. You will also be responsible for partnering with our network of influencers to develop unique, engaging content that can be shared across relevant channels. Your goal will be to improve our creative content and ultimately our brand reach, engagement and relevance with new & existing consumers.

Social Media:

  • Lead the creative development of all assets on our social channels – reels, images, video, etc. This includes content you have developed on your own, as well as working in tandem with our agency partners and influencers.
  • Write copy for each post/story that drives engagement, excitement & dedication among new & existing consumer base.
  • Engage with our consumers on a regular basis on all social platforms – responding to comments & DM’s efficiently.
  • Lead content calendar planning & execution on a monthly basis.
  • Sustainably grow all social channels with a particular focus on Instagram & TikTok.
  • Be the social media “expert” and lead the thinking on keeping pace on any new trends, platforms or executions that should be considered.
  • Measure success and optimize accordingly on all social media channels.

Athletes & Influencers:

  • Work with key Ascent athletes, influencers, and partners to plan and drive unique activations, awareness, and engagement across social, PR & in-person activations.
  • Grow our influencer marketing program to generate UGC that can be re-purposed across new & existing social media platforms.
  • Manage influencer marketing and sports marketing agencies and assist the Associate Director of Marketing in all athlete management and timely communication of upcoming product launches.

Retail & Gyms Team Support:

  • Partner with our retail & gym teams to drive creative storytelling that strengthens key retail & wholesaler relationships as well as creating unique and engaging content for larger gym chains such as Orange Theory Fitness.
  • Partner with our gym sales team to align on messaging for any new promotion or product launches.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or similar subject area.
  • Experience using content and layout design tools (such as InDesign).
  • Three years of experience in managing and developing content for social media, email campaigns, blogs, and brand storytelling.
  • Experience in content creation and copywriting.
  • A passion for social media to include staying on top of social media trends and emerging platforms.
  • The ability to work a weekly 3/2 (office/home) hybrid schedule.

  • A Master's Degree in the above-mentioned fields.
  • A passion for and experience in the sports nutrition, competition, and fitness industries (Orange Theory Fitness, CrossFit, etc.)
