Nutrition Evaporator Operator - Night Shift ($28.00/hr.)

Summary Description: The Whey Evaporator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the evaporator in accordance with standard operating procedures while monitoring the quality of the processed product.

Schedule: 12 Hour Shift - 2,2,3 Schedule - 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

*Holiday's & Weekends Included

*$1.00 shift premium between 6pm and 6am, $1 shift premium on Saturdays & Sundays

Job Responsibilities:

•  Operate the HTST, evaporator and CIP system
• Start up and shut down HTST, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
• React quickly and adjust / troubleshoot equipment to maintain product specifications
• Complete Daily Checklists
• Handle and test chemicals
• Enter data into MES computer system
• Monitor and test product quality
• Recognize and communicate potential deviant situations
• Communicate clearly with the Quality Department, Cheese Production Operators and department management
• Apply lockouts to equipment as required
• Any additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to determine the root cause to issues that arise, using skills of investigation, organizing thoughts and conclusions, and presenting these solutions to others
• Ability to deal with and understand different cultures
• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products
• Familiarity or ability to learn SAP, or similar integrated manufacturing system
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation
